Sitting on the edge of the Tame Valley between Tamworth and Birmingham, Kingsbury is a village defined by its relationship with the water and the land. Historically, it was a site of real significance, mentioned in the Domesday Book and once home to a manor belonging to the Bracebridge family, parts of which still stand near the 12th-century Church of St Peter and St Paul. Today, the village is most notable for being on the doorstep of the Water Park, a massive expanse of reclaimed gravel pits that has transformed the local geography into a haven for sailing, birdwatching, and walking. It’s a practical place to live; the village centre retains a traditional layout with a mix of older cottages and more recent residential pockets, supported by a range of essential shops and schools. While the nearby M42 and the Kingsbury Oil Terminal are reminders of its role in the region's infrastructure, the village manages to maintain a quiet, rural feel, particularly where the Coventry Canal cuts through, offering a slow-paced route toward the neighbouring village of Marston.
