Lawrenny is a charming village located on the banks of the Cleddau estuary in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The name derives from the Welsh word "Llan" meaning church and "Rhwyney" meaning valley, which gives an insight into the area's geography. The village itself boasts several historic buildings including St Caradog's Church dating back to the 12th century. Lawrenny is known for its picturesque scenery, it is surrounded by rolling hills and ancient woodland providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling. The village has a small convenience store and Post Office as well as two traditional pubs offering hearty pub grub. Although tranquil in nature, Lawrenny is just a short distance from Kilgetty where there are supermarkets, shops and medical services making it a convenient location for anyone considering relocation to the area.
