South Cave is a well-established village positioned at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, about twelve miles west of Hull and three miles north of the Humber at Brough. It sits right on the A63, which makes the commute towards the M62 or into the city straightforward, while Brough railway station provides a direct link to London King's Cross. Architecturally, the village is a mix of traditional red brick and local limestone, centered around a Market Place that still hosts a small weekly market - a tradition dating back to a charter granted by King Edward I in 1291. Despite its growth, it maintains the practical layout of a working village, with a primary school, a doctors' surgery, and a variety of independent shops including a family butcher and a local pharmacy. For those who head outdoors, the Wolds Way National Trail passes directly through the village, offering immediate access to the chalk hills and wooded valleys that define this part of the East Riding landscape.
