To the north of Walsall, Rushall sits along the A461, forming a key link between the town centre and Aldridge. Historically defined by its limestone quarries and the ruins of the 14th-century Rushall Hall - once a fortified manor that saw action during the Civil War - the area has since evolved into a settled residential hub. Much of the local life gathers around the crossroads by the McDonald’s and the nearby shopping parades, with the Daw End Branch of the canal offering a quieter, green route for walkers that heads out toward the more rural edges of the borough. Architecturally, you’ll find a mix of interwar housing and more modern developments, reflecting its growth from a mining and agricultural village into a suburb. Its position on the edge of the Black Country means it retains a sense of its own identity while being practical for anyone needing easy access to the M6 or the wider West Midlands road network.
