Norton sits on the southern edge of Stourbridge, serving as a quiet residential transition between the town’s urban centre and the open countryside of South Staffordshire and North Worcestershire. Historically, it was a small hamlet that grew significantly during the 20th century, resulting in a mix of traditional brick properties and suburban leafy avenues. Geographically, it is defined by its green spaces; Mary Stevens Park is the local hub for walking and recreation, while the open fields towards Roman Road and the village of Iverley provide a natural boundary to the south. The area is served by several small shopping parades, particularly along The Broadway, and falls within the catchment for some of the borough’s long-established schools. It’s a place where the proximity to the Stourbridge Junction rail link and the A456 makes commuting towards Birmingham straightforward, yet you are never more than a few minutes’ walk from the edge of the Green Belt.
