Rhosgoch is a small, quiet village located in the northern reaches of Anglesey, situated inland between the coastal towns of Amlwch and Cemaes Bay. The landscape here is characterized by low-lying farmland and rugged outcrops, typical of this corner of the island. Historically, the area was tied to the industry of nearby Parys Mountain, but today it is much more defined by its agricultural roots and its proximity to the Llyn Alaw reservoir, which offers steady walking routes and a haven for local birdlife. The village itself is centered around a traditional pub, The Ring, which has served the community for generations, and the local primary school, Ysgol Rhosgoch, which remains a focal point for families in the surrounding cluster of cottages and farms. It is a place where life moves at a slower pace, governed more by the seasons and the weather coming off the Irish Sea than by the bustle of the larger mainland towns.
