Petersfield is a charming market town situated in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. Historically, it was one of the most important wool markets in the country and bears many marks of its history. The town boasts a number of listed buildings, including The Square - a Georgian market place ringed with traditional shop fronts. It's a highly desirable place to live for those who enjoy the outdoors as it's surrounded by beautiful countryside that offers many opportunities for walking and cycling. Petersfield also has excellent transport links - it's on the mainline railway between Portsmouth and London, as well as being close to key motorway links. All in all, Petersfield offers an excellent quality of life with its thriving shops, restaurants and pubs and yet remains steeped in history and natural beauty that makes it hard to resist a visit.
