Sitting just south of the Nottingham city boundary, Edwalton has evolved from a small agricultural hamlet into one of the county’s most established residential pockets. Geographically, it occupies an undulating stretch of land between West Bridgford and the open fields towards the Wolds, split between the older, leafier lanes near the 12th-century Church of the Holy Rood and the more recent developments spreading toward the A52. Historically, the area was largely defined by the landholdings of the Chaworth-Musters family, which preserved much of its green character well into the 20th century. Today, the village acts as a quiet buffer to the city; it’s a place where you’ll find some of Nottinghamshire’s most distinctive architecture - ranging from Arts and Crafts era houses to modern builds - all within walking distance of the refurbished Edwalton Golf Centre and a growing number of independent local amenities. Its position is practical, too, offering a straightforward commute into the city centre via Melton Road while remaining firmly on the edge of the South Nottinghamshire countryside.
