Bingham sits about nine miles east of Nottingham, positioned where the old Fosse Way meets the A52. It functions as a busy market town for the Vale of Belvoir, centered around a wide, red-brick marketplace that still hosts a traditional market every Thursday. While it has grown significantly over the last few decades, the layout remains logical; the older core radiates out from the medieval Church of St. Mary and All Saints, with newer residential areas filling the gaps toward the bypass. It’s a practical location for getting around, as the local railway station connects directly to Nottingham and Grantham, and the bus links through West Bridgford are frequent. Despite the expansion, it keeps a distinct boundary from the city, surrounded largely by arable farmland and the nearby linear park that follows the route of a redundant railway line.
