Reepham is a small market town tucked into the Mid Norfolk countryside, roughly twelve miles northwest of Norwich. It is defined by its unusual central square, which is lined with 18th-century red-brick architecture and famously home to two churches, St Mary's and St Michael’s, sharing a single churchyard - a rare sight resulting from the town’s medieval history as a site of pilgrimage. While the town feels quiet and settled, it serves as a practical hub for the surrounding villages, maintaining a primary school, a high school with a well-regarded sixth form, and a handful of essential shops and pubs. For those who prefer being outdoors, the town marks the southern trailhead of the Marriott’s Way, a twenty-six-mile footpath and cycle trail following the old railway line all the way into the city. It’s a place that manages to feel remote and rural without being disconnected, sitting just far enough off the main A140 and A1067 to avoid through-traffic, yet close enough for a manageable commute into Norwich or a thirty-minute drive to the coast.
