Weymouth is a charming coastal town located on the southern coast of England. It's situated just a few miles from the stunning Jurassic Coast--a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring incredible sea cliffs, rock formations and fossils dating back millions of years. Weymouth Harbour has been an important port since the 13th century, and today it's still a busy fishing harbour with boats coming and going daily. The town itself is small and walkable, with plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs to explore. A highlight of Weymouth is its fabulous beach--one of the best in the country--with soft sand, clear turquoise waters and plenty of space to relax, picnic or play frisbee. The town is also full of history; you can visit Nothe Fort--a 19th-century military fort that houses a museum, or explore the ruins of Sandsfoot Castle--an old Tudor castle that has seen its fair share of battles over the centuries. All in all, Weymouth is a remarkable place to live or visit due to its natural beauty and rich history that makes it both an attractive tourist destination and a wonderful place to call home.
