Llanarth is a quiet, well-placed village in Ceredigion, sitting just a couple of miles inland from the Cardigan Bay coast. Life here tends to revolve around the essential stretch of the A487, which connects the village directly to Aberaeron to the north and Cardigan to the south. It is a practical spot to live, anchored by a busy village shop and post office, a primary school, and a traditional pub, the Llanina Arms. Historically, the village grew around the church of St David, which dates back to the 13th century and features an unusual inscribed stone in its grounds. The landscape is defined by gently rolling farmland and the wooded valley of the River Llethi, which winds its way down towards the sea at New Quay. It’s a settled, functional community that feels connected to the coast without being overwhelmed by the seasonal bustle of the nearby seaside resorts.
