Stodday is a small village located near the historic city of Lancaster in the north of England. Its name derives from its location on what was once the Roman road from Manchester to Carlisle. In the medieval period, Stodday was an important centre for fishing due to its proximity to the River Lune. Today, it retains a rural charm with many walking paths and cycling routes accessible from the village. Stodday is conveniently located just off the M6 motorway, offering easy access for commuters travelling to Lancaster or further afield to Preston or Manchester. Despite its proximity to urban areas, the village remains peaceful and picturesque, surrounded by beautiful countryside and with stunning views towards Morecambe Bay. It's an ideal location for those seeking a quieter pace of life without being too remote from essential amenities.
