Irton is a charming village located within close proximity to Holmrook in the county of Cumbria. This quaint locality dates back several centuries, and some of its oldest buildings still stand to this day. One of the most prominent features of the village is St Paul's Church, which Sir George Gilbert Scott designed and built during the mid-19th century. The village is also home to a primary school, grocery store, post office, and two pubs where locals gather to socialize. The rural setting provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling or picnicking. And with its convenient location on the western edge of the Lake District, Irton provides easy access to tourist attractions like Wastwater, Eskdale and Muncaster Castle.
