Cradley Heath sits in the heart of the Black Country, roughly ten miles west of Birmingham and just south of Dudley. Historically, the area was defined by the clanging of hammers; it was once the world centre for chain-making, and you can still see the red-brick industrial bones of that heritage preserved at the nearby Black Country Living Museum. Geographically, it’s a place of steep hills and valley views, with the High Street serving as a practical hub for independent shops and a large supermarket. The local railway station is a major asset, providing a direct and relatively quick link into Birmingham Snow Hill and Worcester. While much of the landscape is urban, you are never far from green space; Haden Hill Park offers a surprisingly expansive retreat on the edge of town, featuring Victorian parkland and a Tudor hall that provides a quiet break from the busy surroundings of the Sandwell sprawl.
