Hanham sits on the eastern edge of Bristol, where the city’s suburbs meet the beginning of the Avon Valley. It is defined largely by its topography; the High Street runs along a ridge, offering views across to the hills of North Somerset, while the land drops away steeply to the south toward the River Avon.
