Abercwmboi is a small village situated in the Cynon Valley, South Wales, just three miles north of Aberdare. The name of the village translates from Welsh to "Mouth of the Boi River". Once a bustling coal mining village, Abercwmboi flourished during the Industrial Revolution, but faced decline in the latter half of the 20th century.
