3D views from our lidar map

We've added a new 3D facility to our lidar map of England and Wales. Just click the map at any location and then select Generate 3D to build a 3D view.

Each rendering is a 1km square using 1m resolution DSM data from the Environment Agency or Natural Resources Wales, rendered as a terrain mesh using three.js. It's also posible to get a point cloud view, rendered using Potree, or export the data in Esri ascii grid (.asc) format.

To get started open the map, or jump straight in to one of the following featured features:

• Maiden Castle, Dorset, England
• White Cliffs of Dover, Kent, England
• Old Sarum, Wiltshire, England
• Flat Holm, Bristol Channel, Wales
• Steep Holm, Bristol Channel, England
• Gallt y Wenallt, Snowdonia, Wales
